I’ll be keeping my Countax for as long as I can!

Ben Pipet and his dog Brian are firm fans of the Countax garden tractor. Ben’s ambition was always to own a garden big enough to warrant purchasing a Countax and in 2020 that dream came true.

“As a young child I first discovered Countax in the early 90’s when my neighbour who’s garden ran behind mine used to have an old K15, and I could see him riding around his garden through the gap in the hedge. I was always fascinated by the powered grass collector!

Fast forward to last year (2020) I finally have a garden big enough to have my own ride on mower, and it was only going to be one brand… Countax! I purchased my 2006 C600H second hand and reconditioned from my local dealer in Guernsey along with the scarifier.

When starting the garden it was really badly overgrown, I had a tractor come in and cut the grass and weeds. Slowly over the last year with some more seed and some weed killer and feed it has come up so well, since having my Countax I have been able to keep on top of the lawn, and having the scarifier attachment has been great at helping remove the years of thatch that had built up.

It has been absolutely brilliant! Despite knowing I could have a lovely striped lawn with the PGC I didn’t expect it to look so good. Now I’m out every week enjoying using my Countax, I love it! The PGC is great it doesn’t matter if the grass is still wet, it never clogs up, and makes light work of all of the leaves in the autumn.

This year I have also just purchased an additional mulching deck to help try and naturally feed the lawn during the summer dryer months and I’m looking forward to seeing how well that works. ”

It really is a worthwhile investment because it does so much more than just cut grass. I absolutely love the striped lawn finish, it is great to see this when I’m pottering around. One thing I know for sure is that I’ll be keeping my Countax for as long as I can!”
